Bassam Alhoori and Badria Al-Kahlil

We and our four children are from Syria, though we were refugees in Jordan for 10 years. We were invited by the US government to move to the USA and we are now legal permanent residents here with green cards and eligible for citizenship in a few years.

We speak primarily Arabic and are relatively new to English. However, Badria has completed much of her level II English studies and can engage in simple conversations in English. Bassam has begun English studies. We also use excellent translation programs (such as Google Translate) that allow us to communicate in writing and in conversation with our English-speaking clients.
